We have managed to carry out UX & UI Redesign of a Fashion Ecommerce. With the new design we will ensure that sales increase and that users have a more satisfactory experience on the web at all times from their arrival at home, when they look for the product and finalize their purchase in the cart

Task

When you have an online store where people get lost, cannot reach the cart and cannot find what they are looking for, we need to review the design and find what is failing or how you can improve it

Challenge

Improve the design of an ecommerce through research and design

I approached this project with a team made up of four people from the bootcamp. We organized the work, the tools that we were going to use and we supported each other when we had doubts. We carry out the research tasks, study the competition, define the problem and based on Design Thinking and with the support of tools (Empathy Map, Lean Ux Canvas, User Persona, Journey Map, User Flow …)

We created a consistent visual image without losing the essence of the current brand and involving its colors. We took into account that designing for mobile is not the same as desktop. With the use of the tools and what we learned in the bootcamp we were able to carry out the redesign of the Maquiabella website.

What we do

With the redesign of the web we achieve that sales increase thanks to the best user experience on the web

Improvements implemented after the UX / UI work:

-Redesign of the home page of the web to a more minimalist version
-Redesign of the purchase flow and regrouping of the categories
-Improve the design of the eCommerce choreography
-Modification of the grid system to a more visual one
-Option to filter products by size, color, style and price
-Improvement of the product sheet in which we can find the composition of the garment in an easier way
-We have added a video to the product sheet so that people can see how the garment would fit
-In the shopping cart we have included the possibility of modifying the size of the garment when you are already in the cart. In this way you get the user to have a good shopping experience since you do not have to start the process all over again.
-In the payment gateway we have added new forms of payment and a summary sheet with photographs and order information.

Learning

In this project I found it very enriching to work together with my colleagues 😍 We knew how to manage our differences and points of view to reach an agreement and move the project forward.


I also found it surprising 😮 to carry out the redesign work. Since doing the research we realized many factors that were failing and how we could solve them to improve the usability of the online store. 😎
